The EBC has been entrusted to make the decisions that determine the content and costs of our health benefits plan. The committee met on March 18th, and voted to keep our current plan intact with no changes for the coming year, 2010-2011. Additionally, the Standing Benefits Committee (a smaller group that meets more regularly) has been asked to research options for possible changes in the future. A number of ideas for increasing revenue and decreasing costs have been put on the table for discussion, and the EBC will be meeting throughout the coming year to carefully examine these options to determine which, if any, should be implemented in future years.
